On our show dairy farm, you will learn more about our mountain farmers and interesting details about the origin of high quality
food: pasture milk from goats, sheep & cows, from organic chickensand our honey supplier, the bee. All the things that our region and the seasons produce can be found at our restaurant, the alpine dairy kitchen! We will gladly serve you a tasting plate with seven selected pasture milk cheeses, accompanied with fresh dairy butter & farmhouse bread! Adventure pool Mayrhofen
The adventure pool in Mayrhofen offers water fun for the entire family: Massage jets, adventure showers, swim-out benches, a 101 m long chute with roofed outdoor area provide all the ingredients for a great experience.
The excellent ambiance at the sauna offers all you need in order to relax after a strenuous day of skiing. And the little ones can play to their heart's content at "Wuppys Kinderland" - the kindergarten for young guests that is located in the building
Schlegeis reservoir
Just a few miles south of Mayrhofen - near the picturesque village Ginzling - you will find Alpine road Schlegeis which will lead to the Schlegeis reservoir. There you can take a closer look at the impressive 131 m and 725 meter long double-curvature arch-gravity dam wall.
In summer the Schlegeis reservoir is the ideal starting point for walks, mountain hiking tours and alpine tours; Pfitscher Joch (col), Olpererhütte (hut), Friesenberghaus (German Alpine Club mountain shelter) and the hiking tour along the reservoir are merely few of many highlights.
Stilluptal
The nearly 50 year old, 2.5 km long Wochenspeicher (reservoir) Stillup, is at an altitude of 1116 m and can be reached via the winding toll road. The Alpengasthof is located next to the reservoir - from there you will have to continue on foot ..... There's also a bus in Mayrhofen that can take you there.
Zillergrund
Zillergrund, located in the area in front of alpine nature park Zillertaler Alpen, is the 20 km long side valley of the Zillertal valley that stretches to the "Zillergründl" storage reservoir.
Relax and listen to or read the interesting information...since the names, which its inhabitants have given to the surrounding areas, tell us a lot about the way of life of the people in the side valley, in olden days and nowadays.
Zillertaler Höhenstraße
The 48 km long Zillertaler Höhenstraße (Zillertal High Alpine road) is one of the finest alpine roads within Austria. Visitors can look forward to a lovely drive by car, coach or bus up to an altitude of 2020m. The Zillertal Alpine road is the starting for many mountain hiking tours.
